It can be hard to change the way we eat, but our health depends on it: the leading cause of the most common diseases in the United States is unhealthy eating habits. Cooking classes, food demonstrations, and produce distributions can make that hard work a little easier and more fun.
CommuniCare’s trained staff leads hands-on Cooking Matters classes that inspire families to make healthy, delicious and affordable meals.
Check out the cooking videos developed while our classes are on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic!

Need fresh produce?
CommuniCare patients that access services at Hansen Family Health Center can now get produce from the CommuniCare Garden as a part of their visit! On most days, produce is available for self-service from a cooler in the primary care waiting room. Ask any staff member for help getting your produce. Produce distribution complies with all public and environmental health recommendations.
