This shoe/fund drive is a wonderful way to support the ongoing contributions of CommuniCare’s incredible volunteers and students. Thank you in advance for your shoe donations!
“We are excited about our first-ever shoe drive,” said Hollis Sweet, AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Fellow at CommuniCare Health Centers. “I’m sure most people have extra shoes taking up space in their closets. By donating them, they can clear out the space taken up by the unused shoes and we raise money to support volunteers and students whose hard-work makes it possible for our staff and providers to reach more of our community members who might not otherwise have access to high-quality services. Then, if it couldn’t get any better, through Funds2Orgs we also have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone!”
All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited.
