Perinatal Behavioral Health Services

CommuniCare Health Centers is committed to supporting comprehensive mind and body wellness in pregnant and post-partum mom’s. Whether you are receiving your pregnancy care through our Perinatal Department or not, we have three programs designed to support and strengthen mothers and families.

This program provides in home Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to pregnant persons experiencing depression, anxiety or other mood symptoms during their pregnancy or up to 2 years after they have given birth.  The program provides 10-15 sessions with a behavioral health clinician and you do not need to receive your primary or perinatal medical care through CommuniCare to qualify. Additionally, clients do not have to be insured to receive services free of charge.

CommuniCare Health Centers is participating in a new project with First 5 Yolo and the Yolo County Children’s Alliance that provides no-cost support services to pregnant persons and families with babies under one year old. R2R services are provided through regular visits at a time and place the family chooses, and focus on helping families navigate complicated service systems so they can focus on being great parents. Families that choose to participate in R2R receive compensation for their time through gift cards and other incentives.

PNDT is an outpatient program for women and children. PNDT includes individual and group therapy along with parenting, relationships, trauma-recovery, and relapse prevention. A variety of evidenced-based and cognitive behavioral curriculum are offered. No-cost transportation to and from treatment is provided for women and children attending PNDT. No-cost childcare is also offered in the Child Development Program (CDP) for children whose mothers attend PNDT.
