Celebrating Our Commitment as the Key to Healthier Communities

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This month, join CommuniCare Health Centers in a nationwide celebration of National Health Center Week, August 13th through the 19th. With the support of leadership at the local, state and national level, this year’s celebration demonstrates that differences over the current divide in health care reform can be put aside in unanimous support for our nation’s health centers, which are vital to the health of our communities.

Health centers like ours save countless lives, reduce and prevent disease and provide patients with affordable options for care. Health centers are proven innovators in treating and reducing the risk of chronic diseases and responding to national health crises such as the opioid epidemic. We look beyond medical charts to prevent illness and address the factors that actually cause poor health in our community, like homelessness, lack of nutrition, stress and unemployment.

From our modest start 45 years ago as a small free clinic in Davis, CommuniCare has grown to be the provider of comprehensive and high-quality health care services for one in every nine residents of Yolo County, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

In celebration of this year’s National Health Center Week and our 45th anniversary, CommuniCare CEO Robin Affrime speaks about our continuing commitment to being the key to healthier communities.

Call today to make an appointment at one of our clinic locations in Woodland, Davis or West Sacramento.
